At 10TECH, our origin stems from a critical analysis of existing MTB carbon fiber wheels, revealing substantial compromises in structural compliance, fatigue resistance, and rider comfort that limit real-world performance.

Challenging the traditional concept of “stiffness,” we focus instead on compliance, which is what MTB riders should truly be concerned about.

UNIQUE MONOCOQUE SINGLE WALL RIM DESIGN

Using advanced aerospace and automotive composite engineering techniques—such as computational finite element analysis (FEA), resin transfer molding (RTM), and ultra-high-modulus fiber architecture—we developed a revolutionary Monocoque Single Wall rim design.

Unlike conventional box-section carbon rims that prioritize stiffness, our single-wall Monocoque carbon rim absorbs impacts that would otherwise be transmitted directly to the rider. It is engineered to pivot side to side around the spokes, a movement called “lateral compliance,” which provides a more comfortable ride and helps prevent pinch flats and rim damage.

Our Monocoque structure distributes stress evenly, improving flexural compliance by up to 15% while maintaining the torsional rigidity needed for aggressive trail riding.

These rims are specifically designed for Boost or SuperBoost hubs, as their wider bracing angles are necessary to deliver sufficient lateral stiffness.
